RESIDENTS in several lo-calities under the Golconda Zone of the Hyderabad Met-ropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) are likely to face a 24-hour disruption in drinking wa-ter supply on July 6 and 7, as the Water Board undertakes critical repair works at the Allabanda Reservoir in the Goshamahal Circle. According to the Water Board, heavy leakages have developed in the butterfly valves installed at the inlet and outlet of the 10 ML ca-pacity Allabanda Reservoir. To prevent further water loss and ensure uninter-rupted supply in the future, the damaged valves will be replaced with new ones. The repair works will commence at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 6 and continue until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7.
