Police arrested a 28-year-old Uber driver named Biyya Shashidhar for allegedly stealing gold ornaments from a residence in Masab Tank, Hyderabad.The accused, previously known to the complainant's family, gained access to the house under the pretext of helping to sell the complainant's car.Authorities recovered 157.8 grams of gold ornaments, a Honda Activa scooter, and ₹12,000 in cash, totaling a value of ₹10 lakhs.The stolen jewelry was reportedly sold at the Secunderabad Gold Market before the accused fled to Goa and was subsequently apprehended upon his return.
