Municipal Corporation Manesar (MCM) has directed all Group Housing Societies, Residential Societies, RWAs, Apartment Owners Associations, Developers, Colonisers, Facility Management Agencies and STP Operators to stop the unauthorized discharge or disposal of untreated or inadequately treated sewage/STP effluent. STPs must remain operational and properly maintained, and treated effluent must comply with applicable HSPCB/CPCB standards. Tankers transporting sewage/STP effluent, wherever legally permitted, must dispose of it only at authorized treatment/disposal facilities. Societies are also required to maintain records of STP operations, testing, sludge disposal and tanker transportation. Violations may attract strict action, penalties, municipal proceedings, environmental compensation and prosecution under applicable laws. Immediate compliance has been directed.
