Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification under Section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 regarding land acquisition for a public infrastructure project. The notification declares intention to acquire land for the development of a High-Speed Access Controlled Corridor from Panipat to Gorakhpur (Shamli–Kheri Phase-1). The proposed acquisition covers a stretch from Km 0.00 to Km 1.500 in villages Gogwan Jalalpur and Bhasani Islampur in District Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. The land is required for widening, development, maintenance, management, and operation of the highway corridor. Interested persons may file objections within 21 days from the date of publication of this notification before the Competent Authority, ADM (F&R), Shamli. Objections will be heard and decided as per due process under Section 3C of the Act. Land plans and details are available for inspection at the office of the Competent Authority.
