Sylom Blind Centre, Kakinada, has established 859 water wells in Prakasam District for public and community use. The organisation has requested that its name plates and identification boards installed at these wells must not be removed, altered, damaged, or replaced with the names of other individuals or organisations without permission.
The wells are intended for public benefit, and everyone is free to use the water. The organisation has appealed to village leaders, local representatives, officials, and the public to help protect the wells and preserve the identity of the organisation that established them. Any unauthorised removal or replacement of name plates may be brought to the notice of the concerned authorities for appropriate legal action.
