OBJECTIVE (broad function, scope and purpose for the position) Shipping, receiving, packaging, scheduling pick up and deliveries, and inventory control Salary: $23.50 hourly BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (outline job duties and responsibilities): Shipping, receiving, distribution of Alfa Laval and customer equipment. Schedule shipments using authorized carriers. Pick up and/or deliver customer equipment or parts going to vendors Data entry and verification of accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and maintains related records such as receiving reports, pictures and updating of electronic data bases. Plan, assemble, disassemble, fabricate or repair crates, boxes, cartons, pallets and other packaging containers of large or unusual size and shape, wraps, protects and packs machinery, equipment or other items for shipment domestically and internationally. Keeps work area and surrounding equipment clean and organized. Performs housekeeping as required at the facility to maintain a professional presentation (follows 5S guidelines) including outside yard area Operates lift truck, cranes or other related equipment, transfers equipment to and from warehouses. Perform facility and equipment maintenance Maintains inventory of machinery, equipment and participates in physical inventories Provides security and effective control of customer and Alfa Laval equipment, shop support, and movement of materials or equipment as required inside shop. Interacts with Repair Shop and Market Company groups to assure adequate shipping and receiving information is provided Receive and issue new parts in MRP system to jobs Inventory received parts with correct jobs Active participant in ALPS meetings EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED Education (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration: o Must have a high school diploma or GED o Experience in Warehousing, Production or Physical Distribution Alfa Laval Inc.
