Staff Accountant Robert Half•Brick, NJ• Description 55,000 - 75,000 benefits include: health insurance paid time off Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Analyze financial data and provide insights to management Support audits and liaise with external auditors Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes Requirements 4+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably at the assistant controller level within retail or manufacturing. Hands-on experience in treasury management, including investor distributions and banking activities. Proficiency in preparing financial statements and partnership-related documents such as K-1s and trust letters. Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents, including agreements and contracts. Familiarity with entity formation and dissolution processes, including compliance with state regulations. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial data. Knowledge of partnership waterfalls and priority distributions is preferred. Experience with Yardi accounting software and investor relations is a plus.
