Summary: A Time & Attendance Admin is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of employee attendance and working hours within an organization. They utilize timekeeping systems, process timecards, track employee absences, calculate overtime, and generate reports for payroll purposes. They also handle any inquiries or issues related to time and attendance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws. Additionally, they may assist in implementing and improving timekeeping systems and provide training to employees on timekeeping processes. Roles and Responsibilities: Coordinates with Payroll Department managers and I.S. the processing of payroll interfaces between the HR:M (Payroll and Human Resources) System and the Kronos Time & Attendance System. Monitors and controls the accuracy and integrity of Time & Attendance data by daily analysis of activity reports, clock polling, system updates, employee data interfaces, employee badge data. Provides support to Timekeepers (beyond the capabilities of the Help Desk) throughout NJ TRANSIT to report all non-hardware Time & Attendance situations and resource issues. Develops procedures and training materials for the timekeeping/scheduling process. Provides initial and ongoing Time & Attendance training for Timekeepers, Approvers and the Payroll staff. Interprets end-user requests for information reports, determining suitability, analyzing data and creating appropriate reports using various reporting software and systems. Develops, reviews and maintains Security Profiles and user access for Time & Attendance System; maintains security records for audit purposes. Controls and monitors automated Time & Attendance processing, including daily and weekly imports, weekly discards, weekly archiving, weekly prepaid vacations, interface routines, hourly clock polling, etc. Works with IS to coordinate and implement systems upgrades, and updates user manuals accordingly. Responds and provides all required documents in response to OPRA and internal and external audit requests. Maintains operations and inventory of all Kronos clocks at various NJT locations. Supports Payroll subsystems. Maintains and secures confidential employee information as required. Promotes and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers Education, Experience and Qualifications: Education, Experience and Qualifications / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related area or equivalent Knowledge and Skills: Three years of related experience in GEAC and/or Kronos, or other payroll based computer systems. Must have presentation and training skill and experience. Proficiency in PowerPoint and working knowledge of Oracle, Discoverer, MS Access and MS Excel required. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
