Industrial Maintenance Technician Aerotek•Cherry Hill, NJ• Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description This position requires strong experience in electrical systems, specifically AC/DC and 480 V systems, along with PLC experience. The role involves working in an industrial manufacturing environment focused on processing aluminum, which can be hot, dusty, and loud at times. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, rebuild, and maintain plant equipment. Diagnose and repair problems, not just replace parts. Maintain and repair heavy industrial machinery including plant equipment, piping systems, fluid power systems, cutting, burning, and all @types of welding. Troubleshoot aluminum extrusion presses and auxiliary equipment and machinery including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, etc. Read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers' specifications. Contribute to safety and environmental programs to meet regulatory requirements. Perform maintenance safety program audits including Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, and mobile equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and make repairs or improvements as needed. Maintain an electronic backlog of Work Requests and Work Orders with maintenance planners. Essential Skills 4+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery. Strong electrical skills including troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical systems. Broad industrial maintenance experience including Electrical/PLC, Robotics, Mechanical, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Welding, Machining, and Conveyor systems. Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, PLCs, wire installation/termination, combustion, power distribution, electronics process control computers, conduit threading, schematics, bending and installation, AC and DC drives, and welding. Strong PLC troubleshooting knowledge, especially with Rockwell software. Why Work Here?
