The post carries a fixed pay of Rs. 2,10,000 per month along with a Special Allowance of Rs. 11,250 per month and other admissible allowances as applicable to Vice-Chancellors of Central Universities and Directors of Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). The Director will serve as the academic and administrative head of the institute and is expected to have a strong background in teaching, research, and administration, including significant experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars, along with proven leadership qualities. The appointment will be made on a contract basis for a period of five years or until the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
