Participants will learn:
•about communication and what is a communication disability;
•how to bust myths related to Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC);
•introductory knowledge of electronic and non electronic ways to support someone’s communication;
•about modelling AAC to help someone be the best user of their system;
•strategies that help you better communicate with people whose speech is difficult to understand, and
•through practical hands on experiences, about various AAC systems.
Attendee Experience
This workshop uses a combination of lecture, videos, small group discussions and hands on learning experiences.
The workshop will take place in the Ambassador A room.
