Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd. (PTCUL) has informed the general public regarding the charging/energization of a newly constructed 220 kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission line. The 220 kV LILO (Line In Line Out) of the Khodri–Jhajhra transmission line at the 220/33 kV GIS Substation, Selaqui, Dehradun has been completed. The line includes underground cable and partial overhead construction from Tower Nos. 56 to 57, with a total length of approximately 650 meters. The route passes through areas including the 33 kV substation UPCL, Police Chowki, Labour Chowk, and near the Centre for Aromatic Plants (CAP) in the Integrated Industrial Estate, Selaqui. The transmission line is scheduled to be charged/energized at 220 kV on or after 15-06-2026. The public is strictly advised to observe safety precautions. No person should climb transmission towers, touch conductors or associated equipment, tie animals to towers, or interfere with underground cables. Tree cutting, blasting, or any construction activity within 300 meters of the transmission line is strictly prohibited. Any existing structure within the right of way must be removed immediately, as any negligence may result in serious electrical hazards. This notice is issued in public interest for safety compliance.
