Fourpersons sustained serious injuries after a lorry rammed into an APSRTC bus in East Godavari district on Sunday. The accident occurred near a petrol bunk on the outskirts of Gowripatnam village in Devarapalli mandal. The RTC bus was travelling from Rajamahendravaram to Jangareddygudem when it was hit head-on by a lorry transporting poultry feed. The injured were shifted to the Government Hospital at Kovvur for treatment. Around 40 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the mishap. Devarapalli police registered a case and took up an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
