Textbooks, furniture, and records reduced to ashes in major fire

A fire accident at the Government High School in Chimiryala village of Kodad constituency, here, on Saturday created panic on the premises after flames suddenly erupted, reportedly due to a short circuit.
Officials initially suspect that a short circuit triggered the fire.
However, the exact cause will be confirmed only after a detailed investigation. Education Department officials have begun collecting information and assessing the extent of the damage caused by the incident.
Fortunately, no students were present when the incident occurred out, preventing a major tragedy. However, due to the intensity of the fire, textbooks, official records, benches, chairs, and other furniture stored in the school were reportedly destroyed completely.
Meanwhile, villagers gathered at the school in large numbers and assisted in the rescue and firefighting efforts.
Upon receiving information, Fire Department personnel rushed to the spot and worked intensively to bring the blaze under control.
Firefighters acted swiftly to prevent the flames from spreading to other classrooms. Preliminary estimates indicate that the incident caused significant property damage.
