A fire broke out in Unit-3 of the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant at Veerlapalem in Damaracherla mandal of Nalgonda district on Sunday. No casualties were reported. The incident occurred in the turbine-driven boiler feed pump (TDBFP), a key component in thermal power generation. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the unit, visible from several kilometres, causing concern among residents in nearby areas.
